Point the camera at a code, or drop in a photo or screenshot that has one in it. The result is decoded on your device: a link is shown before you open it, a Wi-Fi code can be joined in one tap on Android, and a contact card can be saved.
Nothing is sent anywhere to be decoded — the camera frames are read in the page and discarded. A scan works with no connection at all.
